Who is eligible to apply?

Under the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004, sites storing or handling dangerous goods may require licensing and compliance with the Dangerous Goods Safety (Storage and Handling of Non-Explosives) Regulations 2007 and the Dangerous Goods Safety (Major Hazard Facilities) Regulations 2007 if applicable.

How to register for a Dangerous Goods Site Licence account

For consultants to obtain access and use the Dangerous Goods Site Licence online system, you will be required to register from an online account.

You will be issued with a unique username and password that you can use to login and manage your Dangerous Goods Site Licence applications.

How to apply for a Dangerous Goods Site Licence

To apply for a Dangerous Goods Site Licence, you will need to contact an approved consultant and work with them to have your application developed. The consultant will lodge your application on your behalf.

Resources Safety Division has a number of accredited consultants who are approved to prepare and submit dangerous goods storage and handling proposals, using this online application.
