Deep seismic surveys are acquired using National Research Facility for Earth Sounding (ANSIR) equipment, in consultation with Geoscience Australia's (GA) Onshore Energy and Minerals Division. Each line is sampled for gravity and, for some lines, magnetotellurics (MT).
The Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) is also acquiring MT surveys in collaboration with the Centre for Exploration Targeting at The University of Western Australia, and with the University of Adelaide. Passive Seismic Arrays are presently being deployed across two areas in the Capricorn Orogen and Albany–Fraser Orogen.
