Tickets are now available for the 2019 Resources Sector Awards for Excellence Ceremony on 22 August at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Tickets are now available for the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety’s presentation of the Community Partnership Award and the Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence recognising outstanding partnerships between resources companies and the community they operate in.
The Awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Thursday, 22 August 2019at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre..
Executive Director Resource Tenure, Rick Rogerson said the six finalists for the Community Partnership Resources Sector Awards demonstrated the industry’s commitment to social responsibility.
"The partnerships we have seen are very interesting” Dr Rogerson said.
“As we go through the assessment process, we are looking forward to sharing these projects that are helping to build meaningful community partnerships in our State’s resources sector.
"Projects range from a pre-employment program that started in Broome, community infrastructure programs in the Pilbara, Goldfields, Peel and South West regions, through to improving outcomes for young people on the Dampier Peninsula and Meekathara.”
The four eligible Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence entries cover renewable energy, recycling materials and research programs. These entries will be judged on commitment to environmental excellence, demonstrated excellent environmental outcomes, community engagement, and innovation.
The official awards presentations will start at 6.00 pm sharp and will be followed by networking and refreshments.
Tickets for the ceremony are $60 and can be booked online. Bookings close 5pm Thursday, 15 August.
