Staying up-to-date with the latest information from the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) has never been easier thanks to the growing suite of online subscriptions available from the DMP website.

In the past two years more than 18,000 people have signed up for online newsletters, alerts and RSS feeds distributed by the department.

DMP Director General Richard Sellers said the service provides the department’s stakeholders with a range of information options.

“We now have eNewsletters from Mineral Titles, the Environment Division, and the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA), as well as my own DG’s eNews,” Mr Sellers said.

The latest edition of the DG’s eNews is now available and accessible via www.dmp.wa.gov.au/subscribe, along with the full range of online subscriptions.

“We also have RSS feeds and news alerts covering areas such as Resources Safety, natural gas from shale and tight rocks and approval performance reports.”

Mr Sellers said the department’s online subscriptions provided valuable information about Western Australia’s mining and petroleum industry from a DMP perspective.

“These services are another way people can access information from the department,” he said.

“While publications such as Prospect, Resources Safety Matters and Petroleum in WA still provide comprehensive information about the department’s activities, the addition of online subscriptions further enhances our ability to communicate with stakeholders.

“These resources also give people the ability to access DMP information as it is released.”
