What is this layer?
A raster depicting relative prospectivity for pegmatite-hosted lithium based upon the density of field observations of the indicator minerals spodumene, cassiterite, fluorite or tourmaline within a granitic rock. The ‘Field observations – granitic rock Li indicator mineral SOURCE’ data layer was processed using the Spatial Analyst – kernel density tool in ArcGIS. The search cell size radius was 0.15 decimal degrees (approximately 15 km). Z-scores were calculated for the resulting raster values, which were used to assign relative prospectivity values from 1 (lowest) to 4 (highest) for a Z-score of <0.5, 0.5 to 1.5, 1.5 to 2.5 and >2.5, respectively. Areas with no data were assigned a prospectivity value of 0.
