Lodgement - (External)
The Lodgement page is available to users with SRS access and security role in each type of submission - i.e. Notifiable Incidents, Injury Report and Status Reports. Contact your SRS Company Administrator at the mine site or Exploration Company.
Notifiable Incidents (NIRF)
• Notifiable Incidents up to 30/3/22, must be lodged under MSIA 1994. Ref to the Lodgement page.
• Notifiable Incidents on or after 31/3/22, must be lodged under WHSA 2020. Ref to the Lodgement page.
Injury Report Form (IRF)
From 31/3/22, the (auto generated) Injury Report Form (IRF) can be submitted to the Department, one (1) day following the submission of the Notifiable Incident Report Form (NIRF) for the associated injury.
From 31/3/22 you will no longer be able to select Injury Report Form from the dropdown for incidents created 'on or after 31/03/22'. The IRF(s) will be automatically generated on the submission of a Notifiable Incident Report Form, for the associated injury(s).
Industry can only create a manual IRF (i.e. stand-alone injuries) from the lodgemet page for incidents selected upto 31/03/22.
Status Reports
UNDER CONSTRUCTIONThe Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (WHS Mines Regulations) require the mine operator to give the regulator a work health and safety report each quarter; this replaces the monthly status report forms that were previously submitted to the Department. The quarterly report is to contain the information specified in Schedule 25 of the WHS Mines Regulations and is required to be submitted via the Safety Regulation System (SRS) no later than 15 days after the end of the quarter to which the report relates. From 1/04/2022, Status Reports are required to be submitted on a quarterly basis i.e. the first report for the will be for the quarter Apr-June 2022. This form will be available shortly. Select area ‘Mining’ or ‘Exploration’. Only areas for which you have security roles. will become visible.
Click 'Notification or incident' up to 30/3/22',
The following will become available in the dropdown*:
- Injury Report (for injury reports prior to 31/3/22)
- Status Report
- Notifiable Incident Report
Click Continue.
*Note: based on the user's security roles.
Lodgement under WHSA (on or after 31/3/22)
Select area ‘Mining’ or ‘Exploration’. Only areas for which you have security roles. will become visible.
Click 'WHS notification or Incidents on or after 31/3/22'
The following will become available in the dropdown*:
- Notifiable Incident Report (for reports on or after 31/3/2022)
- Status Report
Click Continue.
*Note: based on the user's security roles.
A notifiable incident submitted where there is an associated injury or illness, will trigger an Injury / Illness report form (IRFs) automatically upon the submission of the Notifiable Incident Report Form (NIRF). Under WHSA lodgements, you are not able to manually create an Injury / Illness Report Form.
