The Major Resource Projects map shows the location of Western Australia’s significant mineral and petroleum projects.
Three types of projects are distinguished on the map:
- projects operating or currently under development that have an actual/anticipated value of annual production of greater than $10 million
- proposed or potential projects with a capital expenditure estimated to be greater than $20 million
- care and maintenance projects that are regarded as potentially viable in the near-future.
The map also displays the locations of proposed infrastructure projects.
The map is available as a free download from the department’s eBookshop.
Extracts of the map without the DEM (Digital Elevation Model) background are available from the latest Prospect magazine.
