Public submissions for the second draft of the 'Mentally healthy workplaces for fly-in fly-out workers in the resources and construction sectors' close this Friday, 21 September.
In the first round of public comment, the department received 51 submissions from a diverse range of respondents.
The updated draft includes a summary report detailing feedback from the public and how their issues were addressed.
The draft code of practice uses a risk assessment process to identify potential psychosocial hazards and factors, and helps protect mental health in the workplace.
While the code of practice targets FIFO workers in the resources and construction industries, its lessons can be applied across a range of sectors.
