The department has a range of online systems to use. Access to all of these systems is free, although some will require you to register to get a system log-in account. Royalties Online is the system the department uses for Western Australian mineral and petroleum producers to electronically prepare, lodge and view royalty returns and production reports. You or your company must be a current producer to be considered as a candidate to use this restricted system.
Please note that Royalties Online system has had a server upgrade and in the process and an error has been identified i.e.
- the display of historic lodgement dates within royalty returns lodged for your projects may have been altered.
- If you lodged an amended royalty return, between 11 June 2019 and 12 September 2019, past lodgement/amendment date(s) for that return have been overwritten by the most latest amendment date.
Please be assured that the data lodged for those returns to calculate royalty payable (e.g. quantity or value) has not been affected. Also the original amendment dates are recorded within the Royalties System.
The Department has deployed a fix on 12 September to ensure any future royalty return amendments do not overwrite past date(s).
If you need to find the dates for your past amended royalty returns, please do not hesitate to contact royalty.returns@dmirs.wa.gov.au for assistance.
