One-on-one assistance available for MRF reports
Goldfields and Mid-West tenement holders can receive one-on-one assistance to lodge their compulsory 2014-15 Mining Rehabilitation Fund (MRF) reports over the coming week.
Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) Executive Director Environment Dr Phil Gorey said DMP officers will visit a number of Goldfields and Mid-West locations.
“The MRF team is in Kalgoorlie from Thursday to Saturday, and will also visit Coolgardie, Leonora, Sandstone and Leinster over the next seven days,” Dr Gorey said.
“We encourage tenement holders in the regions to attend one of these sessions to seek clarification on any problems they may be having with their MRF reports, and for assistance with their online lodgement.”
MRF Roadshow details are available on the events page of the DMP website.
The compulsory online report for 2014-15 must be submitted by 30 June to avoid penalty.
Members of the MRF team are also available to assist tenement holders at the department’s head office in East Perth until 30 June.
“We’re encouraging anyone who plans to come into the East Perth office to email or call ahead for an appointment,” Dr Gorey said.
“This will ensure we are able to assist everyone who comes into the office as efficiently as possible.”
An appointment can be arranged by calling 08 9222 3162 or emailing MRFenquiry@dmp.wa.gov.au.
“Disturbance data must be lodged annually, even if you fall below the threshold and have no levy to pay,” Dr Gorey said.
