MRF online reports due end of June

MRF online reports are due on or before 30 June
Date: Tuesday, 20 June 2017

The Mining Rehabilitation Fund (MRF) online reporting deadline is fast approaching.

Department of Mines and Petroleum’s (DMP) Acting Executive Director Environment Karen Caple said more than 50% of reports have been submitted and the remaining  reports are due on or before 30 June 2017.

“Disturbance data must be lodged annually, even if you fall below the MRF threshold and have no levy to pay,” she said.

“Tenement holders who need assistance are encouraged to contact us and anyone without access to a computer, or anyone who requires help with the lodgment process should contact the department for assistance.

“Public access computers are available for report lodgement in the library at Mineral House in East Perth plus at each of the regional offices throughout the State.

“To ensure we are able to assist everyone, we recommend that appointments are booked for office visits either by phone or email.”

It is also possible to submit reports using a smartphone or tablet and the compulsory online report must be submitted by 30 June to avoid a penalty under MRF legislation.

Call 9222 3162 or email MRFenquiry@dmp.wa.gov.au to make an appointment.

Information about lodging a report is also available on the DMP website.
