Reporting results of biological monitoring

On 31 March 2022, the Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws replaced the health and safety elements of the Mines Safety and Inspection laws. For information visit www.demirs.wa.gov.au/whs

All health and safety notifications, forms and guidance for mining and petroleum has moved to the WorkSafe website

Who is responsible for reporting results?

While it is the responsibility of the principal employer to assess the requirement for biological monitoring, further testing may be directed by a mines inspector or the State Mining Engineer in respect of specified workers at a mine. This may require the results of any biological monitoring to be provided to the State Mining Engineer.
