Entering health and hygiene sampling results will become even easier for mining and exploration companies following the latest update to the Department of Mines and Petroleum's Safety Regulation System (SRS).
Director Mines Safety Andrew Chaplyn said the update modernises the way hygiene monitoring data is captured.
"The updates, which happen later this month, allow mining and exploration companies to directly input sampling results for airborne contaminants, noise and biological agents via SRS," Mr Chaplyn said.
"In addition, the new functionality will allow for online management of exceedances and standardise communications between industry and the regulator.
"These updates are part of the department's commitment to enhancing its online systems to provide a better regulatory service."
The department is holding a series of information sessions ahead of the launch of the latest SRS updates.
Sessions will be held in Perth, Kalgoorlie and Collie. While the sessions are free, space is limited and participants must register.
