History and locations of the Mining Registrar Regional Offices

The Mineral Titles Division of the Department of Mines and Petroleum currently has nine Mining Registrar Regional Offices distributed throughout the State at Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Leonora, Marble Bar, Mount Magnet, Meekatharra, Norseman and Southern Cross. Liaison offices are also located at Broome, Karratha and Kalgoorlie. A mining registrar is also located at the Perth Head Office.

Services provided by each of these offices include the receival of mining tenement applications and dealings, public access to Mineral Titles Online (MTO) and TENGRAPH®, and Warden’s Court functions. Some of the regional offices also act as agencies for other government departments.

Each of the Mining Registrar offices are responsible for administering various mineral fields located throughout Western Australia. A State Locality Map of the Mining Registrar offices and the Mineral Field boundaries is shown below:
