Last chance to have your say on the revised Mining Proposal and Mine Closure Plan for Low Impact Mining Operations form.

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has extended the consultation period for the revised Mining Proposal and Mine Closure Plan for Low Impact Mining Operations form.
The draft form was first released for public consultation in September 2017 and has been revised based on the initial round of feedback. DMIRS is now seeking any final comments from industry about the latest set of changes.
The revised form includes minor improvements to the criteria for a low impact mining operation, recognising the low level of operational risk for small mining operations. It should be noted, no changes are being proposed to the existing Programme of Work – Prospecting form.
