Tickets are now available for the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety’s (DMIRS) prestigious awards event recognising outstanding contributions in environment, community partnerships and safety and health in Western Australia’s resources sector.
The DMIRS 2018 Resources Sector Awards for Excellence include the Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence, the Community Partnership Award for outstanding partnerships between resources companies and the community they operate in, and the Safety and Health Resources Sector Awards recognising milestone contributions to safety and health across the resources sector.
The awards will be presented by Minister for Mines and Petroleum Bill Johnston at a ceremony to be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday 25 October from 5.00pm. The official awards presentations will commence at 6.00 pm sharp and will be followed by networking and refreshments.
The nominees are judged on their commitment to environmental excellence, demonstrated excellent environmental outcomes, lasting outcomes for communities, and innovations in engineering and processes.
Tickets for the ceremony are $60 and can be booked online. Bookings close Thursday 18 October 2018.
