Due to some maintenance and upgrades, the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) online payment services may not be available on Saturday, May 27.
If a shutdown is required customers will not be able to:
- Lodge online transactions through Mineral Titles Online.
- Make payments through the Quicklink service.
The systems will be out of action for Saturday and possibly some of Sunday.
Systems will be functional when business commences on Monday, May 29.
The work will integrate the existing payment systems and incorporate a new Bpay method.
The upgrades will enhance the operation of the systems and improve the whole customer experience.
The systems should be fully functional when business commences on Monday May 29.
DMP Mineral Titles Executive Director Dr Ivor Roberts said the work will integrate the current payment services to improve the systems and introduce a new payment method.
“The work will mean the existing payment systems will operate more smoothly which will improve the whole customer experience, and will also incorporate a new Bpay method,” Dr Roberts said.
“The payment portal will not look or operate any differently after integration work, but the operation will be more streamlined and faster.”
DMP launched the new payment system earlier this year as part of the Digital DMP initiative, improving processing timelines and providing around the clock access to payment and application of lodgement systems.
It enables customers to simply enter their payment reference number in the Payment QuickLink on the DMP website (www.dmp.wa.gov.au) when paying single invoices and renewals.
Payments can be made using credit card, with a maximum individual transaction limit of $99,999.
The department anticipates that the shutdown should not cause too much inconvenience for customers if they plan ahead and make payments before or after the planned shutdown.
