A seminar held by the Australian Institute of Geoscientists featured presentations from experts across the department.

A number of experts from the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) took part in a seminar held by the Australian Institute of Geoscientists in April.
The one-day seminar Mining and Exploration in WA: New Information from the Regulator featured presentations from experts across the department focusing on regulatory requirements across Mineral Titles, Geological Survey, Environment and Resources Safety.
DMP Title Spatial Services General Manager Kathlene Oliver said the seminar was an opportunity to let industry know about changes and innovation happening within the department.
"It gave attendees a chance to find out about some of the DMP systems, including the new TENGRAPH Web system," Ms Oliver said.
"There was a lot of interest in the new system."
This interest was reflected across other presentation topics throughout the day-long seminar.
DMP Geoscience Mapping Content Manager Angela Riganti gave a presentation on navigating DMP's new website.
"With the complete re-design of the DMP website in late 2015, I felt it would be useful to highlight some of the changes we introduced," Dr Riganti said.
"Knowing what to do but not knowing how to do it or where to find it after a website’s restructuring can be frustrating — especially for time-strapped customers and for a business area as complex as that managed by DMP.
"Following the presentation, people commented on the usefulness of some of the features and the attractiveness of the revamped website.
"We also conducted demonstrations during the breaks to answer specific questions on both the website and some of DMP’s online systems."
