A number of experts from the Department of Mines and Petroleum will speak at a special seminar held by the Australian Institute of Geoscientists next week.
The one-day seminar Mining and Exploration in WA: New Information from the Regulator will feature presentations from experts across the department.
Acting Director General Dr Tim Griffin said presentations will focus on the regulatory requirements across Mineral Titles, Geological Survey, Environment and Resources Safety.
“This is a rare opportunity to hear from the department’s experts regarding regulating Western Australia’s mining and exploration industry,” Dr Griffin said.
“It will include a focus on legislative changes and amendments, and how they will impact on mining and exploration in this State.”
The seminar will be held at Burswood on Swan on Friday 15 April.
Registration and further details are available at the Australian Institute of Geoscientists website.
