The prestigious Golden Gecko Awards event is only four weeks away and tickets for the Awards ceremony are available now.
Mines and Petroleum Minister Bill Marmion will announce the award winner and present the 2015 Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence at a cocktail networking function at Fraser Suites in East Perth on Thursday 29 October.
Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) Executive Director Environment Dr Phil Gorey said this year’s event will again be held in two parts – an afternoon seminar where the finalists present their projects followed by the Awards presentation and networking event.
“Like last year, tickets to the Golden Gecko Awards event are able to be purchased by anyone in the resources industry,” Dr Gorey said.
“We hope this will encourage the sharing and recognition of environmental innovation in the industry.”
This is the second year the afternoon seminar component has been incorporated into the event.
“The seminar was very well received by the presenters and attendees last year,” Dr Gorey said.
“The project teams appreciated the opportunity share their achievements with their industry colleagues and to learn more about their fellow finalists’ projects.”
The seminar will take place between 3.00pm and 5.30pm. It is a free event but anyone wishing to attend must RSVP to jessica.allen@dmp.wa.gov.au.
The Awards presentation and networking function is a ticketed event. Registration and drinks will be from 5.30pm with formalities from 6.00pm.
Tickets are available now and can be purchased from Stars Events.
