Dangerous goods officers hit the road and inspected 185 sites across regional WA.

Four hundred and sixty dangerous goods sites across Western Australia have been inspected as a part of the latest inspection program by Dangerous Goods officers from the Department of Mines and Petroleum.
The program included 185 regional sites, from Wyndham in the north to Albany in the south.

Dangerous Goods Team Leader Eric Gruber said the two-month inspection program was an opportunity to provide important safety information regarding dangerous goods handling, storage and transport.
"We took the opportunity to remind operators about having the correct fire protection, safety equipment and current documents and reference materials - such as material safety data sheets," Mr Gruber said.
"The other important focus was around documenting training and maintenance records."
Mr Gruber said the regional inspections did not result in any infringements being issued by the department.
"It was particularly pleasing that we found such a high level of compliance during our regional inspections," Mr Gruber said.
"However, it is important that operators continue to prioritise dangerous goods safety and ensure such materials are stored, handled and transported safely."
