Preparing for the launch of Resources Online
Date: | Thursday, 21 November 2024 |
---|
The launch of Resources Online will soon see the migration of Programme of Works (PoWs) from the Environmental Assessment Regulation System (EARS) to Resources Online. Any draft PoWs (i.e. those started but not yet submitted) in the existing EARS system will be migrated to Resources Online for users to continue the application. Lodged or under assessment PoWs will continue to be assessed and finalised in EARS before migrating.
Please note that as the department transfers PoWs from EARS to Resources Online, online submission of PoWs will be unavailable from 21 November to 26 November.
How to access Resources Online
Users will be able to access Resources Online through DEMIRS My Account. Existing EARS users with an EX account will automatically have their EX email and password transferred to My Account. Please note you may be prompted to create a new password if it does not meet the new requirements of 14 characters or more.
New users who have never held an EX account before will be required to create a new DEMIRS My Account. The online wizard steps will guide users through this simple process. Our business support team can also assist in resolving issues or queries during the transition. They can be contacted on 08 9222 3535 or EARSmanager@demirs.wa.gov.au.
Eligible Mining Activities trial
As part of release 1, the department will conduct a trial of the Eligible Mining Activity (EMA) framework ahead of its full implementation in 2025. This means PoWs which meet the current draft criteria for an EMA will be progressed through the system with a target one-day turn around. The purpose of this trial is to assess the efficiency of the system and provide the department with an opportunity to test and review the current criteria for eligible activities.
Feedback and support
The department is committed to continuously improving Resources Online and invites feedback. Share your experience at REC.Consultation@demirs.wa.gov.au.
