The latest edition of the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety's Resources Safety Matters magazine is out now.
This issue introduces Resources Safety's Towards 2020 regulatory strategy, features updates on mental health and wellbeing, identifying human and organisational factors, plus all the action from recent mining industry emergency response competition.
There's a feature on the new department and Minister, as well as the latest Safety Regulation System updates and a diary of upcoming events on the safety calendar for 2017, including details about the 13th annual Mines Safety Roadshow in October and November.
The magazine also covers a range of mining, petroleum and dangerous goods safety issues including safety alerts, guidance and legislative updates and, as always, Resources Safety Matters includes significant incident reports and safety bulletins published since the last issue.
