Modelling

All the available data from seismic surveys, drilling logs and core analysis were used to constructed static, or geological, models of the Lesueur Sandstone. Four generations of increasingly sophisticated models were then utilised for dynamic testing, or virtual testing of CO2 injection.

The modelling provides confidence in the feasibility of injecting 800,000 tpa of CO2 for a period of 30 years into the targeted Wonnerup Member and that it will be contained mainly within the Wonnerup.
