Minerals industry safety handbook
The Minerals Industry Safety Handbook, published in 2002, was a resource intended to assist all mine sites achieve the highest possible levels of occupational safety and health practice. It was produced jointly by Government agencies and Minerals Councils in several States. The handbooks are provided below but note that the content is not being updated.

This workshop has been designed to:
- give participants the knowledge and skills to identify hazardous manual tasks and to assess and control risks arising from those tasks
- assist workplaces to fulfil their legislative responsibility to protect employees from hazardous manual tasks.
