Accessing maps - TENGRAPH®

Before prospecting, it is important you have your Miner’s Right and refer to area maps. Viewing these maps can help determine whether the type of land you intend to prospect on is actually available for such activities. Certain areas may require special permissions (please refer to the Where you can go prospecting page). This is very important ,as significant penalties apply to illegal prospecting within Western Australia. Refer to Penalties for illegal prospecting.

NOTE: TENGRAPH Online requires the installation of a Citrix client receiver. Please visit About TENGRAPH Online for more information.

TENGRAPH® is the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety's online mapping system that displays the position of Western Australian mining tenement and petroleum titles in relation to other land information. It gives an accurate picture of land under mining activity – providing an easy means of determining land available for prospecting and mineral exploration.

TENGRAPH® also provides direct access to these departmental systems:

Mineral Titles Online (Mining tenements)
Petroleum and Geothermal Register (PGR)
WAMEX (Mining tenement open file exploration reports)
MINEDEX (Mine site and mineral deposit information).

To use TENGRAPH® you must first register online to obtain a user ID and password.

Detailed TENGRAPH online help is available in the user manual or by clicking the ‘help’ buttons, while a Quick reference manual is also available.
