Mining Industry Respect Infoline addresses sexual harassment

Circle Green launches telephone support service under MARS program
Date: Thursday, 29 June 2023

Circle Green Community Legal has introduced a dedicated Mining Industry Respect Infoline to help Western Australian workers address sexual harassment and discrimination in the mining industry.

The free and confidential telephone support service provides general information, social support, and referrals to people who have been affected by sexual harassment, or sex-based harassment and sex discrimination in the mining industry, either as a target, support person, or bystander.

To access support, call 1800 929 250.

The infoline is one of a number of initiatives funded by the State Government’s Mental Awareness, Respect and Safety (MARS) program, which was established to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of workers and others in the mining industry.

Workplace Advocates will be on the infoline to provide affected people with information and referral options that will help them make the best decisions about what actions to take next.
